Why buy pre printed labels?
Reduced risk of misprints or errors
Every label is printed using high-resolution equipment, checked for quality, and verified for sequential accuracy, helping avoid scanning failures and patient safety risks.
Better for high-volume workflows
In fast-paced environments like Biochemistry, Haematology, and Microbiology, every second counts. Pre-printed labels arrive ready to use — no waiting on printers, no mid-shift reloads. Just peel, apply, and keep your workflow moving.
Consistent layout and legibility
Pre-printed labels maintain a uniform look across departments and shifts. That means clearer identification, easier sorting, and fewer delays in the lab.
Fully customisable
Choose the layout, size, colour coding, prefix/suffix, and adhesive that works for your workflow. We'll guide you through the options and supply samples for sign-off.

FAQs
What types of samples are Sciamed labels suitable for?
Our pre-printed labels are commonly used for blood, urine, swabs, tissue samples, and other human biological materials. They’re designed for multi-disciplinary use across Biochemistry, Haematology, Pathology, Microbiology, and more.
Can your labels withstand extreme temperatures?
Yes, our labels are built for demanding conditions including:
-
Refrigeration and freezing (-20°C to -80°C)
-
Cryogenic storage (down to -180°C in liquid nitrogen)
-
Heat (e.g. incubators)
-
Moist or humid environments
Are Sciamed labels resistant to chemicals?

What adhesive types are available?
We supply a range of adhesive options including:
-
High-tack for secure attachment on various tube materials
-
Freezer-grade adhesives for cold environments
Low migration adhesive for use on breathable materials, such as blood bags and UV bags

Removable or repositionable options (upon request)
Can we order labels in custom sizes or layouts?
Yes, we can produce labels to your exact specifications, including custom sizes, layouts, colour flashes, perforations, and prefix/suffix codes to match your analyser workflows.
If you’re not sure where to start, our in-house team can also help design your labels from scratch, ensuring they meet both technical requirements and lab-specific workflows.
Can I request a sample pack before placing an order?
Our sample packs are designed to showcase the quality and range of labels we can produce, including examples with barcodes, colour flashes, and different materials or finishes.
While they’re a great way to see the standard of our work, the information on these labels won’t be compatible with your systems, so they’re not intended for live testing.
If you’re looking to place an order and need something tailored for testing, we’re happy to print custom samples for sign-off and analyser compatibility as part of the order process.
Will I receive a sample to approve before my full order is printed?
For new designs or first-time customers, we follow a clear and reliable two-stage sign-off process to make sure everything’s just right before we go to full print.
First, you'll approve the blank material to ensure it's suitable for your needs. Then, we’ll send you a printed sample on that approved material, giving you the chance to review the final look and feel — and even check compatibility with your analyser setup if needed.
This approach gives you complete peace of mind and the chance to make any final tweaks before we produce your full order.
How does your delivery schedule work?
We offer flexible delivery options to suit your storage capacity and usage patterns - including monthly, quarterly, or ad-hoc deliveries. Meaning you get the best of both worlds - annual volume pricing with small manageable deliveries.

We want to find the best solution for you, so we will ask quite a few questions.
To quote accurately, we typically need:
-
Label size and material
-
Number of edits/types
-
Annual volume
-
Environmental requirements (e.g. temperature, chemical exposure)
-
Number of deliveries
